KARA – The First Blooming – 1st Album – 2007

KARA’s “The First Blooming” (stylized as “the First Bloooooming”) is the first studio album released by the group under DSP Media. The album consists of a wide variety of genre including hip hop, kpop and a bit of funk. It features “Break It” as the title track, a funky dance song that holds an energetic atmosphere. “The First Blooming” consists of ten songs in total, with two instrumental tracks. The composers who worked on this album have worked with SS501 and was supervised by Choi SungWook, a man who also looked over Fin.K.L.
The music video for “Break It” tells a story of leaving a lover, and throwing away the hatred behind the person. The lyrics have strong phrases that give the listener power to bear the hardships of breaking up. KARA adds on their powerful choreography to promote the message.
The First Blooming was released on March 23, 2007 and involved the former member Kim SungHee.
