SISTAR19
SISTAR19 is a two-member sub-unit of SISTAR under Starship Entertainment. The two members in the group are HyoRin and BoRa. They held their debut concert as SISTAR19 on May 5, 2011 on M! Countdown with their title track “Ma Boy”.
The sub-unit’s name is “Sistar19″ because the duo’s theme is based on the feelings of a 19 year old girl transitioning into a woman. The duo will perform music that represents the innocence and anxiety of a 19 year old as their songs have a central theme of love.

Debut
On April 28, 2011, Starship Entertainment announced their newest project in the company: a two-member sub-group of SISTAR called SISTAR19. The two members fit perfectly for their new concept: being a 19 year old girl transitioning to womanhood. The group would show all of the innocence as well as anxiety that any 19 year olds would have, and SISTAR19 aims to be the voices of those people.
2011
On April 29, the teaser video for their new single came out. On May 3, their debut single “Ma Boy” was released and the music video collected over 14 million views until today. It was a remarkable feat for the duo, or any kpop groups in the market. SISTAR19 made their debut performance on May 5, 2011 on M! Countdown and placed second on the Gaon Digital charts.
