Brenna Ehrlich of Rolling Stone wrote:
“The first BTS member to release a solo album, J-Hope has set the bar high with ‘Jack In The Box’, a 10-track concept album that begins with a retelling of the Pandora’s Box myth.”
She continued:
“The last item in this mythical, chaotic container was the hope that the rapper named himself for – an apt term if this incremental, never-ending creative debut is any indication.”
“BORN PINK” BLACKPINK and “New Jeans” NewJeans land in the Top 50
In addition to J-Hope’s “Jack In The Box”, BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK” also made Rolling Stone’s “100 Best Albums of 2022” list at No. 25.

Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone wrote:
“Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie and Rosé have long ruled K-pop as the ‘Lovesick Girls’, but with ‘BORN PINK’ they have grown into rock queens. It’s short and sweet – eight songs in 20 minutes – but that’s all the time BLACKPINK needs to go through an entire wardrobe of star poses, burning with energy and confidence.”

Kristine Kwak of Rolling Stone wrote:
“There is no doubt that Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein have made a splash this year with their first EP. Less than 13 minutes long, the singles “Attention”, “Hype Boy”, “Cookie” and “Hurt” feature a unique sound and fresh visual element, leaning heavily on the 90s pop aesthetic that fits well with this band and warrants repeats… only a small EP but it made us want so much more.
Congratulations to J-Hope, BLACKPINK and NewJeans for being on Rolling Stone’s “Top 100 Albums of 2022” list!
