In the world of fashion, an ambassador is a face that represents a brand and plays a role in influencing design beyond simple models and increasing the value that the brand strives for.
When it comes to influence and power, K-pop idols have the biggest impact on consumers around the world. For this reason, luxury brands are trying to nominate domestic K-pop stars, and the content is popular all over the world outside of Korea. The move aims to raise brand awareness and increase sales by hiring domestic stars with a global fandom.
Here are over 12 K-pop idols who are global ambassadors for luxury fashion brands
1. EXO Kai

Among K-pop idols, EXO Kai is one of the first to be chosen as a global ambassador for the luxury brand Gucci.
It has been part of the fashion house since 2019.
2. Jimin from BTS

Along with Jisoo, French luxury brand Dior announced BTS Jimin as its latest and new global ambassador starting January 17.

On the same day, Italian luxury brand Maison Valentino chose fellow BTS member Suga as its global ambassador.
4. BIG BANG Taeyang

On January 19, BIGBANG Taeyang, who has just returned to the music scene as a solo performer, was named Givenchy’s global brand ambassador.
For the first time, a luxury brand has hired a Korean as its representative.
5. New Jeans Danielle

Despite being a rookie, Danielle became the first member of NewJeans to be chosen as a global ambassador for the luxury fashion house Burberry.
6. BLACKPINK Jennie

Jennie, a pioneer and trendsetter, has been working as a global ambassador for Chanel since 2018 and has contributed the most to establishing the strong presence of idols in the luxury fashion industry.
7. BLACKPINK Jisoo

As of 2021, Jisoo represents the luxury house of Dior, now alongside Jimin and EXO Sehun.
It is estimated that the media impact value (MIV) that Jisoo can earn, even if he publishes just one Dior-related post on his personal Instagram account, is worth $1.74 million.
