According to one media outlet, two former TO1 members will appear on Mnet’s “Boys Planet” as contestants. Find out who they are below.

On December 20, SPOTV News reported that Jerome and Woong Gi are currently filming Mnet’s upcoming “Boys Planet” audition show as one of the competitors.

At the time of writing, both idols’ agency, WAKEONE Entertainment, has not released an official stance on the report.

Jerome and Woong Gi initially debuted as members of TO1 (formerly TOO), but left the group last June.

In their official statement, TO1 WAKEONE Entertainment explained that after an in-depth discussion about the band’s identity and direction, members Jerome and Woong Gi, along with Min Su, decided to leave and prepare for a fresh start.

During their time as members of TO1, Jerome and Woong Gi were loved by domestic and foreign fans for their bright and lively personalities, as well as their excellent singing and dancing skills.

Meanwhile, Mnet’s “Boys Planet” is set to air its first run in February next year. In total, 98 competitors from different countries of the world will start.

About Jerome and Woong Gi and their activities before leaving TO1

Jerome and Woong Gi debuted as members of TO1 on April 1, 2020. Jerome was the main vocalist and visualizer for the group, and Woong Gi was the sub-vocalist and maknae.

Originally debuted as TOO, TO1 was created as part of the reality show “World Klass”, which aired from October to December 2019, featuring contestants from Korea, Japan, China, the United States, Australia and more.

During the show’s finale, Woong Gi placed fourth and Jerome finished seventh.

Shortly after their debut, Jerome and Woong Gi, along with other members, competed in Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom” idol competition. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the seventh episode.

Both have since been active in carrying out scheduled TO1 activities since their debut. They took part in the group’s return with the first mini-album “Reason for Being: Benevolence” and the second comeback with the second EP “Running TOOgether”.

After TOO changed their name, Jerome and Woong Gi re-debuted as members of TO1 in May 2021 with the release of their first EP “Re:Born”. Then in November of the same year, their second EP “Re:Alize” was released.

However, a month later, it was announced that Woong Gi was taking a break from group activities due to an anxiety disorder. From then on, he was inactive in TO1’s activities until he eventually left the group.

Jerome and Woong Gi’s latest music project as members of TO1 is “Re:Alize”, which features the title track “No More X”.
