In June 2021, the hashtag “#ProtectEverglow” went viral on Twitter after a now-deleted V Live voice-over featuring members of EVERGLOW was uploaded and quickly circulated online.

In the shared clip, a man can be heard yelling at someone. The original Twitter user claimed that, based on the audio clip, the person he was shouting at was EVERGLOW Aisha. Another instance where a K-pop idol was scolded by company employees during a live stream involves former 2NE1 member Park Bom. It happened on Christmas 2020, when the soloist interacted with her fans and celebrated the holiday with them via a live broadcast on Instagram. The ceremony was interrupted when her manager insulted her in front of thousands of fans.
