In October 2021, Somi returned with her first full album “XOXO” and the title song of the same name. The music video for “XOXO” continues the plot of her previous song “Dumb Dumb”. At the end of “Dumb Dumb”, Somi starts dating a man in MV and in “XOXO” she breaks up with him and MV follows her as she gets revenge on her ex for cheating.

In Jeon Somi’s “XOXO” music video, she kidnaps and gags her ex-boyfriend, and when the sheriff walks past them, he breaks the gag and pretends nothing bad is happening. The sheriff is none other than her father, Matthew Douma. This part is visible towards the MV.

Somi’s make-up artist, YouTuber Pony, revealed that the idol came up with the idea of ​​inviting her dad to star in the music video because they needed someone to act as a police officer.

In the middle of the music video, elegant robots that were the same height as grown men appeared in one of CL’s solo scenes. These robots were none other than the work of CL’s dad.

CL’s father, Lee Gijin, is a professor of physics at Seokang University and a children’s book author who published the “Kaka” series.

While we can’t find a video or interview about it, it is rumored that Joohoney’s mother created a red gem in the music video for MONSTA X’s “Gambler”. This can be seen in the middle of the MV after Joohoney’s solo part.

Actually his mother made a necklace for him and the idol wrote the text “my mom is a jewelry designer and i am DIA because i am her son. Because my mom designed me” for his mixtape “DIA”.
