The talents of many K-pop idols are not limited to singing, dancing or rapping. There are also artists who can also write lyrics. For example, the rap line of several K-pop groups write their own rap verses as well as contributing to other song verses from time to time.

One of the top female K-pop rappers of the fourth generation, (G)I-DLE Soyeon, begins this list. The leader of the group is now considered one of the biggest producers of K-pop idols. But since his debut, he has been actively involved in the production of songs for his band.

One of the rap lyrics written by Soyeon is the song “Last Dance” (G)I-DLE, which was created in collaboration with the fandom platform UNIVERSE. The idol also took part in writing the melody for this song.

Of course, our list also includes the famous 3RACHA Stray Kids, which includes Bang Chan, Han and Changbin. The trio actually debuted before Stray Kids and is now a sub-unit of the group. Even before their debut, the three members wrote, composed and produced their own songs, some of which were performed on Mnet’s survival show “Stray Kids”.
One of the well-known songs for which 3RACHA wrote the rap lyrics is “Matryoshka”, the first song from the trio’s third EP “Horizon”.

Global boy group BTS also earned a spot on our list. His rap team – consisting of Suga, RM and J-Hope – is also so talented that he not only raps, but also writes, composes and produces songs, whether it is a solo or group project. Suga even writes and produces songs for other K-pop artists.

Specifically, Suga wrote his own song “Daechwita”, while RM exclusively wrote the rap lyrics for “Butter” and J-Hope wrote “1 VERSE”.
