6 actors who achieved worldwide fame among K-Drama fans in 2022

This year has been great. Not only were we honored with such amazing dramas as K, but we also saw the rising fame of several Korean actors. Most of these actors have been in the industry for a while and some have already received a lot of love around the world. However, this year, the popularity of these six men grew even more:

Lee Jun

His drama “Red Sleeve” premiered in late 2021, but long into the new year, 2PM’s Lee Junho topped all the brand’s reputation lists. He was in literally every advertisement Korea had to offer and the fans really didn’t complain. His portrayal as the enamored King Yi San who had one true love, Sung Deok Im (Lee Se Young), was too sweet to see him. Lee Junho mentioned in an interview that he had received hundreds of scripts and offers since the last episode of the series. His success is so well deserved!

They love you

Thanks to Mr. Gu’s role in My Notes of Liberation, Son Suk Ku was able to steal the hearts of many. His strict portrayal of an alcoholic gangster who somehow finds love while escaping his problems was one that many fell in love with. Son Suk Ku is an actor who can show different charms and sides, which makes him a very flexible actor who can suit virtually any role. Hope to see him in more series soon!

Kang Tae Oh

Kang Tae Oh is the newest addition to this list and sadly said goodbye to his fans when he enlisted in the military. Kang Tae Oh made hearts flutter in the hit series “Woo’s Extraordinary Lawyer,” starring Lee Jun Ho, a law firm employee who falls in love with a lawyer named Woo Young Woo (Park Eun Bin) who has the autism spectrum. Their love line was so sweet, and his well-known ‘that’s disappointing’ line continues to ring in the ears and hearts of fans around the world. Come back healthy and strong, Kang Tae Oh!

Kim Min Kyu played Cha Sung Hoon in the hit SBS series “A Business Proposal.” The series is based on the popular internet novel that has been adapted from webtoon and has been surprisingly successful for its main pair of lovebirds. But what really fluttered people was the other couple; Cha Sung Hoon and Jin Young Seo (Seol In Ah) were hot. Their chemistry has gone through the roof and their kissing scenes will be considered some of the best.

Choi Woo Shik

Our Beloved Summer premiered in December 2021, but lasted until 2022. As the series progressed, Choi Woo Shik’s fame and popularity grew exponentially. His character Choi Woong on the show was romantic and so charming that it was impossible not to fall in love. The way he loves Guk Yeon Su (Kim Da Mi) is irresistibly cute. He gained a brand reputation as well as fame through his emotional portrayal. Additionally, Choi Woo Shik was part of “In the SOOP: Friendcation” as a loyal member of the Wooga Squad. Fans could see a different side of Choi Woo Shik which is also fun.

Lomon

Lomon is an aspiring actor made famous by his role as the charming Lee Su Hyeok in the apocalyptic zombie series All of Us Are Dead. His dazzling looks and love line with co-star Choi Yi Hyun won the hearts of many, making this horror thriller quite romantic. He already has a very long list of projects he has been involved in, which makes him somewhat natural in the industry. Many fans recognize him as a younger version of several popular actors, but it was his role in “All of Us Are Dead” that made his fame rise to international status.
