On December 19, SMTOWN’s official YouTube channel released a behind-the-scenes video of the making of the “Beautiful Christmas” MV.
In particular, Red Velvet and aespa have teamed up to release the winter song “Beautiful Christmas”, depicting the festive atmosphere of the holiday, with members of both groups expressing joy and excitement to celebrate this special day by decorating trees and exchanging gifts.

In the behind-the-scenes footage of the unexpected friendship between the aespa and Red Velvet, Karina and Winter confessed a great discovery!
Contrary to the assumption that these two girl groups have always been friends, they were not really close until the day cooperate has become!
Two aespa members confessed:
“With this session, we (had to) talk to Red Velvet for the first time. It was funny”.
What they said next surprised viewers, saying:
“We are not actually close to any artists who are our seniors (including Red Velvet). I think we got pretty close with (Red Velvet) on that occasion.”
The older idols also expressed a desire to take care of the younger ones, and Yeri promised to give the aespa a meal, according to NingNing.

“Next time we’ll visit her at home.”
In the past, it was rumored that Red Velvet and aespa were not very fond of each other, despite the fact that they often saw each other at music shows, festivals and ceremonies.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet and aespa released their collaborative track “Beautiful Christmas”, the title and pre-release track “2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU Palace” on December 14.

Ahead of the launch, SM Entertainment also announced a special collaboration that Pink Bloods members (fans of SM artists) should expect. “2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU Palace” will be released on various music services at 18:00 KST on December 26, and expectations are high as you may meet various combinations of SM members that you have not been able to meet anywhere.
