Meanwhile, in addition to the “FANTASTIC BABY” singer, the seven other spacecraft crew members selected for DearMoon Project 2023 are DJ and producer Steve Aoki, photographer and filmmaker Karim Iliya, actor Dev Joshi, musician and YouTuber Tim Dodd, Brendan Hall, choreographer Yemi AD and photographer Rhiannon Adam.

In addition, there will be two backup crew members, namely dancer Miyu and snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington.

How did Yusaku Maezawa choose the 8 crew members?

Reportedly, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa has said that he will select people he considers artists, mentioning two qualifications each crew member had to possess in order to be selected: “They must be able to thrive on this space journey and have the potential to help humanity and society, and must be able to support other crew members.”
