Rumors of discord between Chuu and her agency Blockberry Creative have been circulating for a long time. The agency is said to have discriminated against Chuu because it did not provide vehicles or drivers for her personal schedules. Chuu didn’t even join LOONA’s recent world tour. While the members of LOONA were on tour, Chuu took care of personal schedules such as appearing on variety shows and releasing music in Korea.

In addition to rumors that Chuu is discussing an exclusive deal with other agencies, some reports in April said that the singer was planning to start her own company. In response, Blockberry Creative said: “We didn’t know anything about it.”

“Hello. This is Blockberry Creative.

We would like to inform fans that we have decided to expel and remove artist Chuu (real name Kim Ji Woo) from LOONA group effective November 25, 2022.

There have been a lot of rumors about LOONA Chuu this year. Our agency and members of LOONA kept silent to prevent problems, because we were afraid that it would hinder the development of the group and cause anxiety to the fans.

Due to LOONA members’ love for their group and concern for the fans, it was our sincere expression and desire to show only good things through stages and content, instead of telling the truth.

However, we recently investigated after receiving reports of abuse of power, including verbal abuse, by Chuu against our employees, and it turned out to be true. A representative of our company has apologized to the crew and is now comforting them. We also decided to take responsibility by expelling Chuu from LOONA.

First of all, we would like to formally apologize to the staff who were seriously hurt by Chuu’s actions and promise that we will do our best to help them focus on recovery and treatment so that they can quickly return to normal life.

We sincerely apologize to the fans who loved and supported LOONA and would like to ask for forgiveness as we couldn’t keep the 12 members together until the end.

In the future, our agency and LOONA will make every effort to ensure that such things do not happen again. The members of LOONA have never worked solely for personal gain or benefit, nor have they done anything that would hinder the band’s activities, as they are grateful to the fans who helped them to get to where they are today. Members will go to the end and repay the love you give to LOONA.

In addition, we will never forget to be grateful to all the staff members who work hard with us. We will do our best to repay the sacrifices and dedication of our artists and staff to prevent this from happening again. Once again, we apologize to the staff and fans for worrying all of you.”
