“BORN PINK” BLACKPINK and “2 Baddies” NCT 127 will debut on the Billboard 200 next week

On September 20, Chart Data revealed that two K-Pop albums are due to debut on Billboard 200 next week – these are “BORN PINK” BLACKPINK and “2 Baddies” NCT 127.

“BORN PINK” is the second full album by the four-piece female band, which includes a total of eight songs, including the title track “Shut Down” and the pre-release single “Pink Venom”.

“2 Baddies” is the boyband’s fourth studio album containing 12 songs from various genres, including the title track of the same title.

According to the chart dataThe Daily Double hit revealed that BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK” is aiming for second place on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 to 85,000 copies sold in its first week in the US. If an additional 10,000 units are sold, the quartet is likely to take 1st place.

The album that is currently leading the way is Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” from 90,000 to 95,000.

If “BORN PINK” BLACKPINK lands in second place on the Billboard 200 next week, it will be the highest entry for the girls’ group on the chart compared to their first full album “THE ALBUM”. It will also be their fourth album on the charts, next “SQUARE UP”, “Kill This Love” and “THE ALBUM”.

As for NCT 127’s “2 Baddies”, it is projected to debut in the top ten on the Billboard 200 with 60,000 to 65,000 units sold in its first week. This number could put the boy band in 5th place. It will also be their biggest sales debut to date, and their third debut in the top five and third in the top ten on the US album chart (after “NCT # 127: Neo Zone” and “Sticker”).

To date, the highest peak of NCT 127 on the Billboard 200 is third with The Sticker in 2021 with 62,000 albums equivalent, which includes 58,000 sold traditional albums and 3,000 equivalent streaming albums.

Meanwhile, “Pink Venom” BLACKPINK once again found itself in the top ten of the Global Excl ranking. USA and Global 200. The pre-release song came in 3rd and 4th place, respectively.

On the Hot Trending Songs chart, “Pink Venom” came 4th, and “Shut Down” made its debut at 16th place.

In other news, BLACKPINK once again won the music show trophy with their pre-release song “Pink Venom”.

On the September 18 episode “Inkigayo” SBS “Pink Venom” he was a candidate for first place along with “After LIKE” IVE and “Attention” NewJeans. BLACKPINK finally took home the trophy after scoring a total of 7,977 points. This marked their sixth victory in the music show with “Pink Venom”.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s “Shut Down” is leading for first place in the upcoming episode of MBC’s “Show Champion”. The song scored a total of 5,085 points and is expected to win its first music show trophy.

Additionally, “Shut Up” took second place in preliminary vote for “M Countdown” by Mnet, for “2 Baddies” NCT 127.
