On September 22, the Circle Chart updated its website to reveal the best-selling albums for the week of September 11-17. The first place was taken by “BORN PINK” with an impressive number of 2,141,281 copies. These numbers made BLACKPINK the first ever girly K-pop group to become a salesman of two million.

Now, according to the latest Circle Weekly album list, updated on September 30, BLACKPINK’s album “BORN PINK” has dropped to third place with a total of 242,962 copies sold between September 18 and 24. (shipments – returns).

“BORN PINK” is also included in the latest Retail Chart albums, which rank albums based on total offline album sales in retail stores. The studio album took first place with 575,472 copies. Their highest daily sales were recorded on Thursday (September 22), with a total of 283,661 units. You can see that foreign sales are greater than domestic sales.

Additionally, “BORN PINK” BLACKPINK is the only K-pop album to sell over half a million copies during its tracking week. (In second place is NCT 127’s “2 Baddies” with a circulation of 368,520 copies).

Total sales of “BORN PINK” on the Circle Chart exceeded 2.4 million as of September 24. This made it the first album by a female K-pop artist to ever reach 2.4 million copies in the history of the Circle Chart.

Meanwhile, the title track from the album “Shut Down” and the pre-release single “Pink Venom” also made their mark on Circle’s various weekly charts. Shut Down climbed to # 1 on the Global K-pop Chart, while Pink Venom remained strong in # 2.
In the Digital Chart, “Shut Down” came third on the Digital Chart with over 26 million points, followed by Pink Venom in 4th place with over 25 million points.

BLACKPINK’s “Shut Down” impressively jumped 46 places to fifth place on the streaming chart, while “Pink Venom” remained in third place and “Shut Down” dropped to fifth in the download list and “Pink Venom” came in 12th place.
Finally, BLACKPINK remains at the top of Circle’s social chart.

BLACKPINK Takes Home Music Show Fourth Trophy From “Shut Down”
In other news, BLACKPINK has another trophy from the Shut Down music show in the bag.
On September 29, during the broadcast of Mnet’s “M Countdown” “Shut Down” was nominated for first place along with NCT 127’s “2 Baddies”. Ultimately, the song by a group of girls won with a score of 8377 copies. That means BLACKPINK has won Shut Down’s “M Countdown” for the second time and their fourth overall. Previously, they won twice at “Show Champion”.

While “Shut Down” has consistently won on music shows, it has steadily risen to the top of the national charts. At 10:00 a.m. KST on October 1, the title track took # 1 on Bugs and # 3 on three charts (MelOn, Genie, and FLO).
