BTS successfully secured the 2023 Grammy nominations while the septet made history!
BTS 2023 GRAMMY Nominations: The group is nominated in 3 categories
On November 15, local time, the Recording Academy officially announced the nominations for next year’s Grammy Awards. One of the artists mentioned is the South Korean band BTS.

For the third year in a row, BTS have been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Their joint song “My Universe” with the British rock band Coldplay is competing for the award.

For the first time, the septet was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2021 for their 2021 English hit “Dynamite”. Then a second time in 2022 for another English song “Butter”.

Other nominees for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance include “Don’t Shut Me Down” by ABBA, “I Like You (A Happier Song)” by Post Malone and Doja Cat, “Bam Bam” by Camila Cabello (featuring Ed Sheerab) and “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras.

Moreover, BTS won a nomination for Best Music Video at the 2023 GRAMMYs. The music video for their latest track “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” will be pitted against “Easy On Me” by Adele, “All Too Well: The Short Film” by Taylor Swift, “Woman” by Doja Cat, “Harry Styles” “As It Was” and “The Heart Part 5” by Kendrick Lamar.

Notably, BTS’s “Yet to Come” is the first Korean-language song nominated in GRAMMY history and makes the group the Korean artist with the most nominations.

Furthermore, BTS is one of the many artists listed in Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” to be nominated for “Album of the Year”. All those honored in the nominated work will receive a GRAMMY.

It just means that BTS achieved three nominations at the 2023 GRAMMY Awards: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Music Video, and Album of the Year. For the first time in Grammy history, a Korean artist has been nominated in three categories in one year.

In addition to “Music of the Spheres” by Coldplay, other Album of the Year nominees include “Voyage” by ABBA, “30” by Adele, “Un Verano Sin Ti” by Bad Bunny, “Renaissance” by Beyoncé, “Good Morning” by Mary J. Bilge Gorgeous (Deluxe)”, “In These Silent Days” by Brandi Carlile, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers”, “Special” by Lizzo and “Harry’s House” by Harry Styles.
In the meantime, the 2023 GRAMMY Gala will air live on February 5, 2023 local time.

BTS Quits Official Dance Practice for “Run BTS”
In other news, BTS recently surprised the ARMYs by posting an official dance practice video for “Run BTS”, a fan-favorite B-side song from their anthology album “Proof”. The song was first performed live at the group’s World Expo 2023 Busan Korea concert in October.
The newly released dance practice video offers a full look at the seven members’ powerful dance moves from start to finish, as well as the amazing formations they create together with the back-up dancers.
