Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin broadcast live and update the fight tonight

Intensive final press conference as Canelo and Golokvin prepare to end their competition in the trilogy

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will face off tonight for the third and possibly last time as the pair seek a clear end to their controversial rivalry.

Canelo (57-2-2, 39 knockouts) and “GGG” (42-1-1, 37 KOs) first clashed at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in September 2017, fighting for a controversial draw when the majority Observers believed that the then unified middleweight champion Golovkin had done enough to claim victory. Twelve months later, in the same location, the rivals clashed again and produced an instant classic. Again, many felt that GGG deserved the victory, but Canelo took the titles from the Kazakh with a majority victory – marking Golovkin’s first defeat in his professional career.

Four years later, Golovkin and Canelo are poised for another September match at the T-Mobile Arena, this time with the Mexican Super-Middleweight titles on the line. Alvarez, 32, starts the fight after losing his professional career for the second time, losing points to light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol in May. Meanwhile, age is not on the GGG’s side as the 40-year-old wants to finally take an official victory over Canelo but is at least in shape – he last started in April when he beat Ryota Murata in the ninth round. Today, one of the great modern boxing rivalries seems to be settled for good. Follow live updates and results from the main event and undercard below.
