Cube Entertainment is suspending BTOB Eunkwang, here’s why

The statement indicated that all member activities will be suspended and will require the artist to undergo the necessary quarantine procedures.

Cube Entertainment issued a statement:

“Hi. This is Cube Entertainment.

BTOB Seo Eun-kwang has tested positive for COVID-19.

On the morning of Friday (23rd), Seo Eunkwang felt an abnormality in his neck and went to the hospital as a precautionary measure for a PCR test and was confirmed positive.

As a result, Seo Eunkwang is currently suspending all schedules and taking the necessary measures. We will continue to follow the guidelines of the health authorities to ensure the health and safety of our artists.

Thank you.”

The leader also tested positive earlier on February 5, 2022, while the company issued an official statement about his condition which confirmed the positive test days before their long-awaited return.

Eunkwang began experiencing symptoms of a sore throat around February 14. After his results, the other BTOB members also underwent prophylactic PCR tests.

It’s sad when one of BTOB’s cheerful members is hit by the pandemic. Nevertheless, health measures will be taken for his speedy recovery!

The lively fortress of BTOB – its leadership

Most Kpop groups have a certain leader who oversees the bridges between the group itself and the company. In a previous interview with VOGUE Girl, the members of BTOB talked about how it felt to celebrate 900 days since debut.

On his 900th day, BTOB Leader Seo Eunkwang wrote in a Twitter post:

“BTOB♡ Melodies 900th day.. I am always grateful and thank you even more. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Let’s continue this love! Hahahahaha I’m happy hahahahaha

On VOGUE Girl, the members were asked about teamwork, and they unhesitatingly replied that their leader, Seo Eunkwang, was the answer.

Soon after, Son Eungkwang expressed his thoughts.

“I’m so shocked that we’ve never had a fight, not once. We trust each other and everyone is so nice.”

Every leader in K-POP groups has interchangeable traits. In this particular industry where pressure or stress can become overwhelming, the group leader will always play a huge role in their efforts, quality of teamwork, emotional connection and professional ties.

Not only will the K-POP leader volunteer to be the group’s stronghold, but he will need the members’ help and respect in this hectic profession.

BTOB leader Seo Eunkwang has proven his reliability from time to time, including genuine concern for members.

BTOB debuted on March 21, 2012 and consisted of Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub, Hyunsik, Peniel, Ilhoon and Sungjae.

Ilhoon left the group in 2020.
