DKŻ‘S Kyoungyoun has recently drawn attention to his family’s involvement in the JMS cult. It turned out that his parents attended church in a cult, and he was born into one. Kyoungyoon’s childhood was tied to Wolmyungdang, the seat of the cult, and he admitted to admiring it Jung Myung Seok growing up by brainwashing.
On March 14, 2023, Kyoungyoon apologized via the group’s official coffee shop.
Hi. This is Kyungyouon.
First of all, I sincerely apologize to the fans who must have been the most shocked and disappointed by me. I should have been giving good news all the time to those who watched over me, loved me and cheered me on, but I think instead I caused them difficulties because of my shortcomings.
Although I think it’s too late, I came here now, I’m really sorry. I didn’t have the courage to come and find you first. I was very scared… Because you were the ones who cared for me and cheered me on, I was even more hesitant.
I’m too embarrassed to face the fans who visited the cafe because of me, and I was also afraid that the misunderstanding would grow if I spoke too hastily. I didn’t know where to start, and after endlessly worrying about how to say how sorry I am, I figured I couldn’t wait any longer and here I am.
I have let many people down because of how carelessly I handled things. Things I’ve said in the past without much thought have ended up creating bigger misunderstandings. I blame myself and overthink it so much I wish I could take back all that time. I am sorry for not being enough and for my many shortcomings.
Finally, once again, I sincerely apologize for the disappointment…
