FNC’s upcoming Idol Band audition show announces its release date

The release date of FNC Entertainment’s new idol band audition show has been confirmed!

In June, FNC Entertainment announced the launch of “The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle”, a new Korean-Japanese audition show seeking members to form a new idol band. The show will be jointly produced by Japanese public broadcasting network TBS, FNC and SBS Medianet, and will air on both SBS MTV and SBS FiL in Korea and TBS in Japan.

On November 24, SBS M revealed that SBS M and TBS’s “The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle” will premiere on December 6 at 9 p.m. [KST]”.

This audition program aims to find band members who will delight audiences around the world with both their talent and attractive looks. Team members will be personally selected by five idol production teams: FTISLAND, CNBLUE and N.Flying, as well as Japanese teams KANKAKU PIERO and KEYTALK. In addition, FNC Entertainment CEO and Executive Producer Han Sung Ho and Sharam Q leader and guitarist Hatake will join the program as “Special Champions”.

The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle will be hosted by SF9’s Rowoon and former IZ*ONE member Yabuki Nako of HKT48. “The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle” has already finished its first filming and it is said that the legendary group of candidates are taking part in the series.

“The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle” will premiere simultaneously on SBS M and SBS FiL on December 6 at 9 p.m. KST. In Japan, the show will premiere on TBS on December 3.
