IU reveals that during the concert “The Golden Hour” will exclude TE 2 songs from future set lists

On September 17 and 18, IU organized the long-awaited concert “The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun” at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul. The event was held on the occasion of her 14th anniversary in the K-pop industry.

With this two-day show, IU became the first Korean artist in history to host a concert at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium, South Korea’s largest stadium.

She also announced a surprise about two of her hits. She said:

“I composed ‘Palette’ when I was 25 and I appreciate it a lot [in Korean age]. I’ll leave this song to 25-year-old Jieun [IU’s real name]”.

She continued, “I don’t think I have to stick to this song, so you probably won’t hear this song on my official set list after this concert.”

In addition to “Palette”, IU also revealed that it will exclude “Good Day” from its future set list. She explained while breaking the joke:

“I put out ‘Good Day’ when I was 18 and now I’m 30. Some of the lyrics are: ‘I like you, oppa [a Korean term, often affectionate, for an older male]”But now at my concerts I don’t see many guys older than me.”

She further said it was bittersweet for her to exclude songs from her future setlists, but had already made up her mind that she would be able to play new gigs and new setlists. Still, she wanted everyone to remember the moment she sang the songs at her concert “The Golden Hour”.

In the documentary for the concert, IU told about her disorder. “My ears are a bit lame lately. My ears open by themselves, so my hearing is similar to what you hear when you yawn, ”she said. “When I hear me sing, it gets too loud and rings.”

The document further revealed that IU has been diagnosed with Patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction which causes the person to hear himself too loudly.
