On September 18, South Korean YouTuber Sojang uploaded a video titled “Japan in real time) Comparison of the false popularity of IVE VS aespa, Newjeans and Kep1er. In the video, YouTuber discussed the popularity of four groups of girls in Japan.

Kep1er, aespa, NewJeans prove their popularity in Japan

It was noted that although the Kep1er had modest fame in South Korea, popularity exploded in Japan. During their debut in Japan, Kep1er held a three-day show. All days were sold out, meaning 28,000 seats were sold every day. In total, 280,000 tickets were sold.

These three groups seem to be really popular in Japan. However, the fame of IVE in this country was in doubt.

However, according to sales charts, the Japanese album IVE has sold over 500,000 copies, while Kep1er’s album “Wing Wing” has only sold 35,000 copies.
