The IVE was awarded the “half a million dealer” in August after “After LIKE” reached 924,363 units sold in its first week of sale. This is the highest record among debuting groups debuting in 2021 and 2022.
Due to their influence and popularity, it is highly likely that instead of the Rookie Award, the IVE will be awarded a Daesang.
NewJeans: The latest sensation in the music industry
NewJeans is another artist on the run for a Rookie Award. The group made its debut in August as part of ADOR, led by CEO Min Hee Jin. Following their debut, NewJeanswere named emerging artists with their debut album “New Jeans”.
