Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, Cha Eun Woo, and Sung Joon show their steadfast resolve in epic ‘The Island’ posters

“The Island” is getting ready for its premiere!

Based on the online tool of the same name, “Island” is a fantasy exorcism drama set on Jeju Island. It presents the sad and bizarre journey of the heroes, whose destiny is to fight the evil that tries to destroy the world. The drama will be directed by Bae Jong of “Welcome to Dongmakgol” and “Fabricated City”.

On November 22, Island revealed new character posters for the four main characters: Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, and Sung Joon.

First, Kim Nam Gil exudes dark charisma as Pan, “a creature who is both a monster and a human at the same time.” The text next to it reads “I’ve been waiting for you a long time”, captivating the audience along with a piercing gaze that is as sharp as the sword that Kim Nam Gil, known as Geumgangjeo, wields.

Lee Da Hee is “the person at the center of fate” as he transforms into Won Mi Ho, a third-generation chaebol and teacher who spends time in self-reflection on Jeju Island. He asks, “Why are they chasing me?” asking questions about what will happen on Jeju Island.

Donning a priestly robe and carrying a cane, Cha Eun Woo becomes the eye-catching exorcist John, who is “God’s ruler.” His poster reads: “I will protect. This is my decision.

Finally, Sung Joon becomes Goong Tan who has been “rejected by the world” captivating viewers with his long silver hair. He holds a bloodied Geumgangjeo on his arm, taking a deep look at the audience as his quote reads, “As expected, I shouldn’t have trusted people.”

The premiere of “The Island” will take place in December. Watch the action-packed trailer here!
