Its goal is for clients to embrace their natural beauty.
Korean Beauty YouTuber, Cho Hyo Jinrecently made a video with one of New Jeans‘make-up artists, Lee Nakyeumto learn how to obtain “natural beauty that enhances the look of your makeup”Which members often wear.
Lee Nakyeum said she has always done more natural makeup on clients, but after NewJeans debuted, she hoped that more people would find their natural beauty.
Here are the steps and tricks for a basic NewJeans makeup that gives them a natural and healthy glow!
1. Wash your face carefully and apply face creams
Lee Nakyeum described this first step as the most important, explaining that it is best to work on a freshly washed face.
Then add hyaluronic acid and face cream to create a moisturized makeup base.
2. Massage your face to relieve any puffiness
Gently massage your face to relieve any puffiness. Make sure face cream and hyaluronic acid are evenly applied and allow to set before applying makeup.
3. Apply a foundation
Lee Nakyeum stated that the most important goal is for the products to appear absorbed through the skin, to make the whole look more natural. She likes to use an illuminating foundation, and in the film she chooses a pink base. Combines this with pre-application facial sunscreen, both the SPF and the illuminating foundation will give your skin a natural glow.
Lee Nakyeum chooses a foundation that is only slightly darker than her clients’ skin tone as she will later step into it and highlight and brighten her face for a more dimensional look.
Concentrates the foundation on the outside of the face, leaving the area between both eyebrows all the way to the mouth without foundation to keep the skin naturally lighter. In this zone, she applies a darker foundation to the sides of the nasal bridge, where people usually contour, and to the eyelids.
5. A lighter foundation for brightening the face
She then takes a lighter shade of foundation and applies it to the T-zone.
As there is naturally more texture in this area of the face, Lee Nakyeum comes in with a makeup sponge to press the product into the skin for a flawless finish.
6. Bright equalizer
If you tend to have redness in the T-zone of your face, Lee Nakyeum suggests a clear concealer under the eyes and nose to help eliminate redness and give your face a more three-dimensional look.
She then uses a cream highlighter to give the T-zone a shiny glow and make the skin look more natural.
8. Powder setting
To finish the stylization, she applies a translucent fixing powder in a color that neutralizes the shades of customers. It is applied with a brush along the outer part of the face to which the foundation was applied.
