‘Many dead’ as gunman opens fire on Walmart, police say | News

At least ten people were killed after a gunman opened fire at a Walmart store in Chesapeake, Virginia on Tuesday, November 22.

Police said there were also injured at the scene on Battlefield Boulevard and at least five people were taken to Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.

A spokesman for the Chesapeake Police Department said authorities believe the suspect is dead.

“We are shocked by this tragic event at our store in Chesapeake, Virginia. We are praying for those affected, the community and our associates,” Walmart said in a statement.
