A top star, a married man in his 40s, was discovered playing golf with women who worked in entertainment venues in Japan.
According to an exclusive report by SBS Entertainment News, top star A was playing golf with CEO B of a Korean entertainment company and two women in their 30s and 40s at a luxury golf resort in Chiba, Japan on the morning of October 31.
These women work at a Korean entertainment venue in Akasaka, downtown Tokyo, Japan. It is known that they worked with visas obtained by establishing an immaterial corporation through an intermediary. In fact, it is illegal for non-resident Korean women to work in an entertainment venue in Japan.
The day the 4 people played golf was two days after the Itaewon crowd disaster in Seoul. This was at a time when major broadcasters had canceled entertainment shows and many artists had postponed scheduled performances to join the period of national mourning.
Accordingly, the CEO of entertainment agency B paid with his company card for a dinner, including expenses for golf and alcohol, for four people.
CEO B explained, “It was a meeting with A to discuss casting for a drama co-produced by Korean and Japanese companies. I couldn’t suddenly cancel it because we had an appointment a month before.”
However, many people were suspicious that a round of foreign golf and dinner in the company of women in entertainment venues could be considered a normal business meal.
In this regard, the leading A star explained: “I had no idea these women worked in the entertainment industry. B told me they were his friends and we first met just before playing golf”adding “Isn’t it normal that we play golf and have a meal? So we had dinner together and didn’t even go to a bar.”
CEO B also said, “A friend of mine was supposed to come with us but she got sick so I had her introduce me to women who can play golf and speak Japanese fluently”adding “Although I belatedly realized that the idea might not be suitable for a business meeting, I agreed to the proposal because I couldn’t communicate well, and I also didn’t know the place.”
