The Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (hereinafter KOFICE) recently revealed its 2023 Global Hallyu Trends Survey, including the “Most Loved Korean Actresses by Foreigners” ranking. The survey was conducted in November and December 2022 with the participation of 25,000 people from 26 countries.
According to the aforementioned ranking, Song Hye Kyo ranked first among many other actresses. Even after two decades of acting, she is still loved by viewers both in Korea and beyond.
In addition, in the “Most Loved Korean Actors by Foreigners” (male and female) also published by KOFICE, Song Hye Kyo is the only actress to reach the top five.
It is speculated that the huge success of “The Glory” played a huge role in maintaining Song Hye Kyo’s popularity.
