Red Velvet Seulgi debuts solo with mini-album “28 Reasons”
On October 4 at 6 p.m. KST, Red Velvet member Seulgi is finally making her solo debut, eight years after her official debut with the group in August 2014. Wendy and Joy, who made their solo debuts in 2021.
Seulgi got excited with her solo debut mini-album “28 Reasons”, which shows her transformation and an intense charm that differs from the image she shows as a member of Red Velvet.

Seulgi debuts solo with “28 Reasons”
“28 Reasons” contains a total of six songs, including the title track of the same name. Other songs include “Dead Man Runnin”, to which Seulgi contributed lyrics, “Bad Boy, Sad Girl” with rapper Be’O, “Anywhere But Home”, “Los Angeles” and “Crown”.
On “28 Reasons” the song is a pop dance song featuring groovy and heavy bass sounds with whistle effects. The song aims to ask questions about the numerous causes of the relationship.

Seulgi about how he finally makes his solo debut
To commemorate her solo debut, Seulgi also held a press conference on the same day.
During the press conference, Seulgi shared that her colleagues from Red Velvet gave her a lot of support in preparing for her solo debut. She said, “They have advice and support for me. They really had a lot of willpower. I was very scared that I had no members [with me]”.

Seulgi also shared that she talked a lot about her solo debut with Wendy and Joy as they already had the opportunity to make their solo debut.
“I texted them the day I shot my music video. Wendy told me “You can do right” via voice chat. Joy also told me not to worry about long text messages and Irene and Yeri told me I was the best, ”Seulgi said.

On why it took her a long time to make her solo debut, Seulgi stated: “I officially started preparing for this album earlier this year. decent. So now, eight years after our debut, it seemed the right time.
