Song Joong Ki And Shin Hyun Been’s Love Line In ‘Reborn Rich’ Gets Mixed Reactions After Episode 3

Too much focus on the love line between Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Been’s characters is met with mixed reviews.

Episode 3 of JTBC’s “Reborn Rich”, hosted by Song Joong Ki, is getting mixed reactions from viewers. In the Korean online community Theqoo, netizens left comments saying that episode 3 was not as funny as the first two episodes due to the love line between the characters Song Joong Ki and Shin Hyun Been.

In this episode, Jin Do Joon (Song Joong Ki) enters law school where he meets Seo Min Young (Shin Hyun Been). In a past life, Jin Do Joon Seo Min Young was a prosecutor known as the “grim reaper” of the Soonyang Corporation. However, in this life, Seo Min Young is a law student with a completely different personality than her previous life. Jin Do Joon and Seo Min Young meet and develop feelings for each other.

“Reborn Rich” is about Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki), the loyal and devoted secretary of the Soonyang conglomerate. After being accused of embezzlement and unjustly killed, Yoon Hyun Woo suddenly wakes up in 1987 in the body of Jin Do Joon. Jin Do Joon is the youngest son of the Soonyang family.

Many viewers are against increasing the number of scenes focusing on the love line between the two main characters. In the original webtoon, their love line is very subtle. The story centers on Yoon Hyun Woo’s journey to seek revenge and reveal the truth.

Internet users on Theqoo commented: “Please limit the love line between the two main characters,” “Episode 3 ruins it for me. I had to skip all unnecessary love scenes.” “Lee Sung Min’s (Jin Yang Chul – Jin Do Joon’s grandfather) acting stands out the most. The only thing that makes the drama interesting is him. His playing is impressive.”

“Reborn Rich” got off to an impressive start with a 10% rating for its latest episode. It also breaks the K-drama norm by airing three episodes a week instead of the traditional two.
