His statement is as follows:

“I was very hesitant to write this post. It would have been different if I hadn’t been part of the cast of Street Man Fighter. But now I felt a lot of pressure to take one side.

However, it is very difficult to express my own thoughts, that is, respect for both sides for the artistic quality of the choreography.

This is a strictly personal point of view that I express as another choreographer. Not as a member of 1MILLION and also not a sunbae in the dance industry, but purely on an individual level.

When creating a choreography, all choreographers take into account not only the lyrics of the song, but also the overall mood of the song.

This choreography, which creates a special image of the song “New Thing” through its movements, chose the movement of the rider on the motorcycle. In the process of expressing the act of riding a motorcycle, this sequence of movements is now presented on the table for similarities with another sequence of movements.

But in my opinion, the footwork involved in the New Thing movement is a well-known, widely used basic movement that is a variation of the moonwalk, and any dancer or choreographer would know about its frequent use. (I have shared the video as an example.)

Therefore, I believe that it was not about copying, there is no right or wrong, but both sides should be respected.

There are many productions in music and film with the same themes but with different content. There are also cases where the whole picture is very different but there are still many overlapping and the same scenes or fragments. I consider this incident to be a similar case.

I am a fan of ATEEZ choreography and I monitor their work frequently and they motivate me positively and the same goes for We Dem Boyz. Even though we are in competition right now, I have worked with We Dem Boyz many times in the past. I felt that the current situation was having a negative impact on both sides, so I speak my own thoughts carefully. # This has been published but I feel scared.
