Super Junior’s Choi Siwon is a man of many faces in “Work Later, Drink Now 2”

Choi Siwon is back with another season of “Work Later, Drink Now”!

Based on the popular online tool “Work Later, Drink Now”, it tells the story of three women whose life philosophy revolves around having a drink after leaving work. Lee Sun Bin stars as television writer Ahn So Hee, Han Sun Hwa plays yoga instructor Han Ji Yeon, and Apink’s Jung Eun Ji plays origami YouTuber Kang Ji Goo. Super Junior’s Choi Siwon also stars as Ahn So Hee’s co-worker Kang Book Goo.

Earlier, Choi Siwon captivated the audience with his comical yet realistic portrayal of eccentric variety show director (PD) Kang Book Goo complete with his disheveled hair and beard. Viewers are already waiting for the return of the actor in the new season.

Choi Siwon said, “Honestly, it doesn’t feel real that it’s season 2. I think it’s because ‘Work Later, Drink Now’ and the Kang Book Goo character are still very close to me even after a year has passed.”

Despite having his programs rejected or having to work on a pre-existing program, Kang Book Goo doesn’t care about the opinions of others and lives his own life. Last season, he planned a new show with Ahn So Hee, and this season, he finally manages to launch his own show.

In the new season, Choi Siwon said, “The deeper emotions and plot of Kang Book Goo will be presented. Kang Book Goo’s narrative is fleshed out down to the smallest detail, so viewers will be able to be very immersed in the character.”

Newly released stills feature three very different Kang Book Goo expressions. In one photo, he looks close to tears with his arms wrapped around his legs as he sits on the stairs, while another still shows him smiling so brightly that he practically lights up the entire room with his invigorating energy. The third picture shows him spreading a blanket with both hands, raising anticipation for his eventful life in season two.

Concluding, Choi Siwon said, “Everyone, what does waiting until December 9 sound like? hahahaha.”

“Work Later, Drink Now 2” will premiere on December 9. Watch the trailer for the upcoming season here!
