On September 13, the organizing committee of The Fact Music Awards (TMA) revealed the fifth and final line-up of this year’s awards ceremony. They said there would be two k-pop groups at the event, BTS and NCT Dream.

These two artists once again proved their universal popularity with their new releases this year.

On June 10, BTS released their album with the anthology “Proof” and on the same day the septet sold an impressive 2.15 million copies on the Hanteo Chart. Particularly noteworthy about this milestone is that the figure differs only by a few differences from the group’s second-largest sales record in the first week of 2.27 million units, set by “BE (Deluxe Edition)”.

By its seventh day of release (June 16), Proof had sold a total of 2,752,496 copies, reaching the second highest sales in the first week in Hanteo history.

In “Proof,” BTS has been on the Billboard 200 for 12 weeks in a row starting in the week ending September 10, and on other Billboard charts such as World Albums and Top Current Album Sales.

In addition, their representative songs “Dynamite”, “My Universe” and “Butter” consistently rank on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl charts. American charts. Their collaborative song “Bad Decisions” with Snoop Dogg and Benny Blanco also remained on the Billboard Hot 100.

On March 28, NCT Dream returned to the music scene with their second full-length album, “Glitch Mode,” which impressively sold over 2.1 million copies in just one week, the group’s shortest record to achieve this feat. This makes them a dealer of two million for the next two years.

Moreover, both “Glitch Mode” and “Beatbox” won five NCT Dream trophies, meaning the group took home a total of 10 trophies.

The 8th and 9th NCT Dream played two concerts at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, the largest stadium in South Korea, as part of the “THE DREAM SHOW 2: In A Dream” tour. This made them only the seventh K-pop group in history to hold a concert at the venue.
