On August 1, NewJeans debuted with their official mini-album, which was titled with their third single “Cookie”. On August 4, NewJeans made their Mnet debut on “M Countdown,” performing “Cookie,” “Hype Boy,” and “Attention.”
On the day of the album’s release, “NewJeans” had sold 262,815 copies, breaking several records for South Korean debutant groups. They broke the record for the biggest sales of their debut album in one week. According to the Hanteo Chart, NewJeans sold 311,000 copies in the first week after its premiere.
