The 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held on November 25 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea. Korean media Sports Chosun will host an event that will be broadcast live on KBS2.

Hosted by Kim Hye Soo and Yoo Yeon Seok, the awards ceremony will honor some of the best movies, best actors or actresses, top directors, and more in 2022.

According to local news site SPOTV News, several Korean artists will appear at the 2022 Blue Dragon Film Awards to take the stage and present special scenes that will decorate the event.

These artists include Zico, four-member male vocal group La Poem, and leading rookie girl groups IVE and NewJeans.

In April last year, producer and singer Zico was officially released from compulsory military service. Soon after, he returned to the entertainment scene. He produced an original soundtrack titled “New Thing” for Mnet’s “Street Man Fighter” dance show.

Zico also returned solo with his fourth EP “Grown Ass Kid”, which featured the title track “Freak”. He has even performed at many festivals such as SUMMER SONIC Festival 2022 in Japan and Hip-Hop Playa Festival 2022.

Consisting of four classically trained singers, La Poem is best known as the winner of the third season of the JTBC competition television show “Phantom Singer”. One of their popular releases is “Vincenzo” OST Part 4 titled “Lacrimosa”.

Moreover, the quartet is the featured artist on “Answer: Ode to Joy”, one of the B-side songs of ATEEZ’s “ZERO: FEVER EPILOGUE”.

Starship Entertainment’s new girl group, IVE, is getting more and more popular with each album released. In fact, their latest album, “After LIKE”, sold over 900,000 copies on the Hanteo Chart in just its first week of release. In South Korea alone, it even reached one million sales.

Also, their latest song “After LIKE” earned them a total of 14 trophies at various music shows in South Korea. As of November 20, it is the K-pop song of 2022 that has won the most awards on music shows.

Finally, NewJeans, which gained worldwide attention after its debut in July, has achieved a lot despite being in the music industry for less than six months. One example is that they have already signed advertising deals with five unique brands such as SK Telecom, Musinsa, Shinhan Bank, MEGAstudy and Pinkfong.

What’s more, they received over 100 love calls from various brands that wanted to collaborate with them.

IVE and NewJeans will present special stages at Melon Music Awards 2022

In other news, it was reported that IVE and NewJeans are among the artists who will present special performances at the Melon Music Awards 2022, which will take place on November 26 at 6 p.m. KST at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
