The post focuses on a certain fourth-generation K-pop band that has already disbanded. This is none other than X1, which was created as part of the Mnet survival program “Produce X 101” in August 2019.

For the record, X1 consisted of 11 members, namely Yohan, Wooseok, Seungwoo, Hyeongjun, Seungyoun, Dongpyo, Hangyul, Dohyon, Junho, Minhee, and Eunsang. These boys debuted on August 27, 2019 with their first album “Emergency: Quantum Leap”. The album’s title track, “Flash”, earned the group a total of 11 trophies on various music programs through September 19.

However, in November 2019, Ahn Joonyoung, the producer of “Produce x 101”, was arrested and later pleaded guilty to rigging contestant vote rankings.

Subsequently, the respective agencies of CJ ENM and X1 met to discuss the group’s future. After their deliberation, it was decided that X1 would disband. Although the contracts with the boys initially lasted five years, their activities ended only after nearly five months from their debut, on January 6, 2020.
