On October 5, Yuehua Entertainment announced that one of its soloists was leaving the company. This idol is WOODZ, also known as Cho Seungyoun.

Yuehua traveled to the official WOODZ fancafe to release a statement explaining that the artist would leave the label after his exclusive contract expires later this month.

Yuehua Entertainment’s statement reads as follows:

“Hi, it’s Yuehua Entertainment.

First of all, we would like to thank those who have shown WOODZ great love.

Please be advised that our exclusive agreement with WOODZ expires in October this year.

From his debut at UNIQ to his activity as a soloist, we were able to observe his passion for music up close. It was a significant time for us when we were with WOODZ, which, thanks to consistent efforts and facing challenges, has grown into a versatile artist.

We thank WOODZ for a long journey with us and support a new chapter in his life in his next dreams.

Following the announcement that WOODZ was leaving Yuehua Entertainment, Star News released an exclusive report stating that the male K-pop idol would move to IU’s EDAM Entertainment agency after his exclusive contract with Yuehua expires on October 19.

As of today, EDAM has not confirmed or denied the information about WOODZ’s transfer to the company.

WOODZ made his debut in 2014 as a member of UNIQ. He then took part in the Mnet survival show “Produce X 101” in 2019 and managed to secure a place in the rookie lineup of the X1 design group.

However, X1 was able to operate for several months before being disbanded due to the vote manipulation scandal.

WOODZ returned to Yuehua and resumed his solo activities.

In other news, WOODZ has been doing a lot of solo activities over the past few months.

On May 4, this male K-pop idol released his fourth extended play “Colorful Trauma”, which includes the title track “I hate you” and four other songs.

WOODZ’s “I hate you” is a song in the genre of pop rock and pop punk. The texts say: “I can live well without you. Oh, doing everything I want without you. You’ll be fine without me. I know I like you, I don’t need your love, ”stating that he doesn’t need to be sad about the person he once loved.

WOODZ “Colorful Trauma” sold 70,632 copies on the Hanteo Chart in the first week of release, while in the first month it sold 87,509 copies on the Circle Chart.

After his solo return, WOODZ organized a concert in Bangkok, Thailand, entitled “WOODZ LIVE COLORFUL in Bangkok” on September 3rd.
