Immediately after the lists were deleted, K-pop enthusiasts from various fandoms expressed different reactions when they saw the chart.

Among the boys’ groups, SHINee particularly surprised internet users and fans by securing a place in the rankings almost every year, except for years when they are inactive. They appeared first in total from 2010 and remained in the top five from 2012 to 2016. In 2011, the group did not return, but as a group it is inactive in 2018-2020 due to military recruitment.

But in 2021, they proved their immense influence as “Princes of K-pop” by reappearing in TOP5 following the return of “Don’t Call Me”. They became the only and first group of second-generation boys to appear in the top 5 since 2017.

Among the second-generation boys’ groups, TVXQ’s “Emperor of K-pop”, BIGBANG’s “Kings of K-pop” and Super Junior’s “Hallyu Kings”, K-pop royalties also cemented their influence by repeatedly appearing on the charts.
