Song Yuvin is a South Korean celebrity born on April 28, 1998 in Daegu, South Korea. He first came into the spotlight when he participated in Mnet’s “Superstar K6” reality show. Unfortunately, his journey on the show only lasted until episode 12, and his highest ranking was in the top four.

Although he didn’t win the show, Yuvin got a chance to sign with The Music Works Entertainment. He then became one of his company’s reps on another Mnet reality show, “Produce X 101”, which everyone knows is the show that formed the now disbanded boy group X1.

The song lasted until the final episode, “Produce X 101”, but only placed 15th, a spot not included in the debut line-up. Thus, he remained a member of MYTEEN under Music Works Entertainment.
Song Yuvin’s debuts throughout his career
After signing with The Music Works Entertainment, Song Yuvin made his solo debut in May 2016 with his first single “You Are The Only One”.

A year later, he debuted again as a member of MYTEEN. The group released their first mini-album “MYEEN Go!” in July 2017. He took over as the lead vocalist in the band.

Unfortunately, MYTEEN disbanded in August 2019, one month after “Produce X 101” ended. The Music Works explained that after discussing with each member of the group, the boys decided to end their activities as MYTEEN and go their own way.

Although the group disbanded, former “Produce X 101” contestant Song Yuvin debuted again as one half of the “Kim Kook Heon + Song Yuvin” duo alongside his MYTEEN colleague Kim Kook Heon.

The duo released the EP “Phase One: You” in January 2020. Prior to the release of the album, the duo released the single “Blurry” in August 2019. They were later renamed BOY, which stands for “B.Of You” – meaning “Best Of You” and “Both of You”.
Unfortunately, BOY finally disbanded in April 2021, when Yuvin decided to end his contract with the agency early to start his mandatory military service.

On April 26, 2022, former “Produce X 101” trainee and MYTEEN member Song Yuvin signed an exclusive contract with FLEX M, a subsidiary of Kakao Entertainment. From now on, he will be active as a solo artist.
