WJSN’s Bona discusses her role as the rightful princess in the upcoming historical drama

WJSN’s Bona honestly shared her thoughts on her character in the upcoming drama “Joseon Attorney”!

“Joseon Attorney” (literal translation) will feature Woo Do Hwan oejibu (a lawyer from the Joseon dynasty) who seeks to avenge his parents’ deaths through a trial. On his journey of righteous vengeance, Kang Han Soo (Woo Do Hwan) develops as a human being and becomes a true lawyer who protects and represents people.

WJSN’s Bona plays Lee Yeon Joo, a confident, bubbly and idealistic princess who seeks to avenge her father with the law. After the death of her father, King Seon, Lee Yeon Joo hides her identity and goes by the name So Won and turns to Kang Han Soo in her quest for revenge.

In a recent interview, Bona described her character, Lee Yeon Joo, as “a person who wants to protect Joseon and its people more than anyone else” and said, “I get a lot of good energy playing such a righteous, energetic and bright character.”

Choosing the words “justice”, “according to the book” and “love” as primary keywords for her character, Bona explained: “[Lee Yeon Joo] is a character who is willing to take any risk to fight for justice, and at the same time wants to do it in the most honest way possible. She is someone who has a lot of love for those around her and the people of her country.”

Challenging herself with her first historical drama, Bona remarked: “Historical dramas are a genre I’ve wanted to try for a long time. I also believed in the director I had worked with before on Twenty-five Twenty-One.

“Joseon Attorney” will premiere on March 31 at 9:50 p.m. after the end of “Kokdu: Season of Deity.” Watch the trailer here!
